ABOUT ME
Originally from Omaha, I now live outside of Lincoln, Nebraska with my husband Aaron, our son, and our golden retriever.
Prior to law school, I worked at Withers Bergman in the Private Client and Wealth group in Rancho Santa Fe, California and in San Diego, California. I started in reception and moved to a records management position before working as a legal secretary and paralegal. I also worked at Cuddigan Law in Omaha, Nebraska as a Veteran's and Social Security Disability case manager. This trajectory inspired me to go to law school, and I enrolled in the fall of 2018. I graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law with Distinction in May 2021.

During law school, I clerked at the Nebraska Attorney General's Office in their consumer protection and Criminal Appeals divisions, and at Dvorak Law Group, in their litigation, estate planning, and corporate divisions. During Fall of my 3L year, I participated in the UNL criminal clinic through the Lancaster County Attorney's Office where I was able to conduct custody and non-custody arraignments, docket calls, and dispositions without trial as a Senior Certified Law Student. I also gained experience in drafting complaints, amending complaints by interlineation for defendants who failed to appear, and negotiating plea offers with defense counsel and pro se defendants. At the end of the semester, I was awarded as the Outstanding Criminal Clinic Student for Fall 2020.

Also during my 3L year, I competed on the National Moot Court team, was an Executive Chair for the Moot Court Board, and wrote on to the Nebraska Law Review. My article, which addresses a circuit split between the 3rd, 6th, and 9th circuits concerning a federal statute banning certain groups of citizens from owning or possessing firearms, was published in Spring 2022 within the Nebraska Law Review 100th edition, Volume 4.

After law school, I worked as a Judicial Term Clerk for Chief Justice Michael Heavican of the Nebraska Supreme Court for one year before joining Kutak Rock LLP as an associate in their Low-Income Housing Tax Credits group. My work includes facilitating lower-tier equity investments in affordable housing developments across the United States, upper-tier syndication of tax credits to Funds and other upper-tier entities, technical terminations of partnerships and early exits. I am currently admitted to both the Nebraska State Bar and the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska.
